There are many residential buildings, both small, rent stabilized walk ups to new, high rise, luxury buildings all around from 5th Avenue west to 12th Avenue. Ninth Avenue has become a sort of ethnic restaurant row, with many different tastes available for reasonable prices. Hell's Kitchen has gone through many changes and is currently an area which is being renovated and gentrified. One great aspect of living here is that you are directly south of the park and prices are still low, for the most part. There are many theaters and tourist attractions.
