Chelsea is the area from 14th-23rd Street on the West Side. It is a residential area with many small walk up buildings and shops. There are also many art galleries popping up in the western most part and lots of great shopping along 7th Avenue. The Chelsea Market, along Ninth Avenue and 19th Street, filling the square block, is a new market, with fresh flower shops, bakeries and organic produce. The antique markets, both indoor and outdoor, on 25th Street & 6th Avenue are a great weekend treat. Rental prices in the past were low but currently it is a very popular area and therefore has become more expensive.
